Protection against to the corsairs!

Azkorriaga's fortification was getting up in Ustrikoetxe cape. This fort was raised in the century XVIII to protect the bay in an epoch with frequent fights against the English people.

Today, only the ruins of this construction can be visited: a rectangular space limited by the remains of a wall and one a small construction that was used like polvorín.

Without any doubt, a place of enormous beauty which maybe is asking for more attention (explanatory cartels, etc ...).
